Hi, I’m Melissa

I consider myself an athlete on all levels — physical athlete, mental athlete, spiritual athlete. Athlete lifestyle requires steadfast commitment and growth through challenges. Above all other experience and training, the continual commitment to awareness and my own inner journey are my most important resources when guiding clients.

I am a movement coach and menstrual consultant, based in beautiful Santa Cruz, CA. I’ve spent my life learning about the body and how to cultivate mental, emotional, and physical internal environments that help me thrive. Through my own continuous journey, I nurture a relationship with myself which is founded on listening to my intuition, honoring my needs, and fiercely believing in my power. It is an ever-evolving process and worth every moment. This awareness of self, cultivated through the body, is a gift I’m able to help others with through my work.

I've been deeply immersed in high-quality training and performance environments and mentorships since 2014. In 2019, I graduated from Occidental College with my B.A. in Kinesiology, before moving back to Santa Cruz. A year later, I dove into studying female physiology, the menstrual cycle, menopause, and how these factor into training, nutrition, and performance. Now, I offer one-on-one coaching experiences, in strength training, movement quality, the menstrual cycle, and nutrition. You can find more information about these offerings on the Coaching page.

While at Occidental, I pole vaulted on the track and field team, competing at the national level. Since graduating, I’ve continued to vault and currently compete as an unattached athlete. There is a sense of pride, excitement, and immense joy I get from pole vaulting, and it has been the guidepost of my personal growth in many ways.

  • I started meditation at two-years-old, and my meditation practice deepened into a daily experience in 2016.

  • I thrive on the relationships in my life. I have built a community of conscious individuals who I love moving through life with. As part of that, I frequently attend or guide Women’s Circles.

  • I absolutely LOVE food. Almost everyone in my life has commented on the total body experience I have when tasting flavors, cooking dishes, and being around fresh produce.

I am passionate about living consciously and making life sacred.
It is a lifestyle I choose for myself, every day.
And it is a joy to guide others toward deeper self-connection along their own journeys.
